A Law Star is our new name for our Peer Mentors. They are designed to welcome both our first year and second year returning students to the Law School.
What is a Law Star?
We have 30 Law Stars this year varying from second and third year students. Our stars each have different experiences of University; from double degree students, year abroad and international students living and studying away from home.
What does a Law Star do?
As well as welcoming you all, our Law Stars are available to offer first hand practical advice throughout the year. They can offer guidance such as navigating your way around the University, understanding your timetable and introducing you to University socials and societies.
Our Law Stars are all fully trained and managed by our Student Support Director, Bev Jackson.
How do I contact a Law Star?
As part of our ‘Welcome Week’ programme, our Law Stars have dedicated online sessions called ‘Being You’. This will give you a chance to meet our Law Stars and ask any questions. You can sign up to these sessions here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/121154465267
They will also be present at each of your fortnightly personal tutor sessions.
You can also reach our Law Stars via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
