If you missed the opportunity in October to apply for our Essex Law Clinic, you are in luck.. We are now able to expand our numbers and are officially able to reopen our applications!
We are again looking to recruit a number of Bronze Members, who will engage in in non-client facing “project” work before potentially moving onto silver membership and casework. As unfortunately, we are already approaching the end of Autumn Term, there is a limited choice of projects and any new coming students will be expected to pack into one term what would normally be done more leisurely over two terms.
Please note, most training and activities take place on a Wednesday afternoon, so please ensure you do not have any other commitments that may affect your position within the clinic.
If you have previously applied and were unfortunately unsuccessful due to limited numbers, please consider applying again as we now have more capacity.
If you would like some more information on the clinic, we are hosting the below sessions this month:
Information Sessions
Wednesday 24 November, 5pm GMT
https://essex-university.zoom.us/j/98785971891
Q&A session: Wednesday 1 December, 2pm GMT

How to apply
If you are a first or second year student, Please email the Essex Law Clinic elawclinic@essex.ac.uk to request an application form. Please then submit your application via email to the Clinic with the subject heading ‘Membership Application’.
Closing date: Friday 3 December, 9am GMT
All applications after this date will not be considered.
We appreciate early applications and you will have more choice of interview times if you submit an early successful application.
We are hoping to make final decisions towards the end of week 11 and if successful, you will have a short period of time to inform us of your preferences for projects.
If you have any questions, please email me on dn17405@essex.ac.uk; otherwise I hope to see you at interview!
Best wishes
